Wesseling and Dinner

We met a beautiful, friendly German called Susanne. She was fantastic – and she was the manager of the pub we had dinner in. She humoured me with my German phrases and brought out the chef to talk with us about our menu choices.

Michael ordered herrings in white wine sauce with chips. He loved it and left nothing on his plate.

I ordered beef with toast – it came with mushrooms and hollandaise sauce. Fantastic

Michael bought a bottle of red wine from the kiosk on the way home and was impressed by the way it opened – with a glass stopper.

We should sleep so well tonight as we are exhausted.
