We enjoyed a great German breakfast at the hotel and prepared ourselves for the walk. Today I tried using two tee- shirts I was going to discard as shoulder pads. They felt good.

We walked for almost 90 minutes with Harry’s and William to Oberwesel Where we had coffee and I bought a cap.

We headed off towards Bacharach, approx 6 km, but we had to stop for awhile in the shade across from Kaub. The castle in the middle of the river was popular for swimmers. I was ready for a sleep!

When we arrived at our hotel, right in the centre of the town, we desperately needed a shower.

We then went downstairs to our hotel for two beers, which we felt we had earned. Our host took a photo of us in front of his hotel – attached.
