Nigella’s ‘Toad in the Hole’ for lunch

A very wet day in Tenbury today. No chance for long walks, so we curled up with some good books and did a cryptic crossword, then Michael cooked a recipe we saw Nigella make the other day – very English!

She called it “Toad in the Hole” and she used sausages broken into several pieces which she cooked well before she poured over Yorkshire Pudding mixture and cooked in a very hot oven.

Michael used small pork sausages and a one egg batter mix.

It was fantastic and will make a great treat for our next dinner party at home as an entree.

  1. how good are those pasties , you look like your having a ball over there. I’m not sure Sue would be keen on the walking bit, more a wine before tea girl.
