Beer and Cider Festival Day 2

We were able to take a new path into town as the brook and the river levels had dropped. See the photo of Michael bravely crossing the brook which brought us out at Pembroke House.

If you read yesterday’s post you will not be surprised to see the first photo taken outside of the pub advertising cheap beer. Some of the ones we had tried yesterday that were pretty bad were now on sale for £2 a pint. Michael tried two new ones while I quickly selected a lager.

Our plan was to find somewhere to eat before we got to the Rose and Crown as the food yesterday was very disappointing. But, it was Sunday and that meant not many places in Tenbury were opened. The place we thought we would eat out had run out of food at 12.30pm. Unbelievable. So we ate at the pub and we were not surprised by its appearance or taste.

We got to see all of the advertised performers but I will write different posts for each of them as they each need a special mention.

Anyway, it was a much more enjoyable day. We found ourselves the shadiest spot in what I called the “bus shelter”. I could not have stood sitting in the sun for two hours as well as our one hour + walk.

The publicans were no more friendly today than yesterday though.
