Michael cooked some pork sausages (grobe bratwurst von schwein) with onions for dinner.
I provided the side dishes of tinned peas and instant potato ( I think ). See photo of the packet of Kartoffen Flocken Püree??? This was because we were unable to buy 2 or 3 potatoes where we were. We would have had to buy 1.5 kg.
We also tried several different (cheap) wines – all with the same result….. “nasty”
1. Mosel Rheisling from Benkastel
2. California Zinfandel
3. South African Pinotage.
You will be pleased to know that none of these bottles was finished.
Plus the total cost of all foods and drinks for dinner, breakfast and lunch tomorrow cost us only €18. It is much cheaper to cook for ourselves as the average price for meals we have been consuming for lunch and dinner has been about €35.
