After reading rave reviews for a one day tour to WWI sites on Trip Advisor, we travelled back to Bruges for this tour.

A very full and moving day.

We visited the area around Ypres (now spelt Iepers) and were taken to a number of significant battle fields and cemeteries and remembrance shrines. Our tour guide was from the area and was very knowledgable. It was not a glorification to war. It was an important history lesson.

We both found it very moving and would recommend it if you are ever over here.

We found a TJ Cavanagh and an O’Neil (with one L) from Australia. Unsure if they are relatives.
