We had a series of disasters with trains breaking down and Michael being unwell with his sugar levels but we eventually made it back to Amsterdam. A very interesting city which is hugely busy on a Friday with lots of tourists, many here for the coffee shops and hash smoking.
We found a bar with a beautiful view of the canal and enjoyed a few beers…..mostly Belgium (since the beer tour).
Off to Jakarta tomorrow…we hope.

Just catching up with your travels. The beer tour sounds great. Hope Michael is feeling better. Will be interested in how you find Jakarta. Melissa went there in 1979 and it wasn’t a great place but I hear it has improved a lot. How was Bruges? It was the setting for a movie I saw a couple of years ago and it looked like a beautiful city.
Hope the trip continues to be enjoyable.
