We decided we would dine out tonight, so we headed back towards the railway station where there were a few restaurants we spotted earlier in the afternoon. We had spotted one that had moules and frites which interested us both.
Now this is not the most prestigious area in Bordeaux.
The waiter was a beauty. Even keen to get into our photos. Note the one with Michael.
Michael started with some oysters and then we both had moules.
We obviously enjoyed them.
We stopped off at another spot on our way back to our hotel. It was extremely popular. Loads of people were lining up to buy cigarettes. Crazy.
We ordered a glass of vin rouge each at €2 per glass poured out of a tap and served chilled. It was worth every cent.
This was an interesting place with an eclectic gathering of folk – All with varying degrees of lung cancer!
