After wandering the area near our apartment and after reading advice on Trip Advisor, we selected Chez Yvette for dinner.
Michael chose Le Plateau, and I am so glad we did not both order one. I was brought some utensils to help him and we both ate shellfish we had never tried before.
We think we ate whelks (bulots), periwinkles (bigorneaux), clams, raw mussels, along with other things we have eaten before. It was served with wonderful mayonnaise and butter.
After almost two hours, Michael had (with a little help from me) emptied the platter and filled several bowls with scraps.
Meanwhile, I had ordered Yvette’s Fish Soup which was served with cheese and croutons and which was amazing.
If you are ever over here, you must try it. Our next dinner will include similar shellfish, but stuff we have bought fresh from the markets for a tenth the price.

Wow! (*)
