Wow! What a wonderful experience. Something we had never thought we’d do.
Being in Poland, the birthplace of Frederic Chopin; this was a perfect reason to attend a piano recital showcasing Chopins’s works performed by Dobrochna Krówka in the Noble (Bonerowski) Palace off the main square. This was a moving experience for us both. These concerts are held every evening in a fairly small theatre that can hold a maximum of 40 people. Tonight we had front row seats, while there were ten others there tonight.
The price, including a pre-concert wine, a 1.5 hour recital, and a three course meal cost $40 each. Unbelievable. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if the food was Polish. Unfortunately it was Italian, but it was superb. We also bought a CD of the concert.

At one point in the recital, Michael nudged me to indicate he knew the piece. That is because I clumsily play a section of the piece that has been modified for a Grade 3 Level at home on our piano; but I was very pleased he recognised it.
Something we will never forget.
