Sculpture in the main square. Very impressive.
The theatre nearby to us.
There was a concert today involving people with special needs – they were fantastic singers and performers and having so much fun, even though it was raining. We are unsure what the fair was all about, but think there is a film festival on this coming weekend.
Art Gallery Visits
We loved the 18-20th Century exhibit we saw the other day. Quite amazing and we were allowed to take photos.
But our visit to Kraków Museum with its display of the 20th Century artists left us cold. It was all black and gloomy. But after our visit to Auschwitz yesterday, that might explain some of it. The part of this museum that we enjoyed was the military history dating back to 13th Century. There were sections in the museum for kids which allowed them to try on some of the armour. Even big kids.
I snapped this construction two days ago, unsure what it was meant to be. As we just walked passed it, it all became clear. It is a BMX track. We saw some riders doing amazing things.
Catching the train to Wroclaw (pronounced in my shorthand as VRATZ WAF) this morning where we will spend 3 nights. Another new adventure.
