What a great shot! I wish I knew how to delete the doggy poo sign, but nevertheless we headed off in beautiful sunshine to Grantchester around midday. This was about a mile into our walk. 

Close to Cambridge University we walked through a beautiful parkland and through some suburban streets. 

Then we spotted a useful comfort stop. 

The real walk through the meadows and along the river was to follow. Mick did extremely well with his very badly bruised right foot. 

This was the goal after almost 5km. 

We spent a lovely few hours in this ‘free house’ tasting some ales and enjoying their local fare for lunch.
