Today was our last full day with the animals.

The owners arrive home late tonight.

We have been busy getting everything “ship shape” for their return.

We have cleaned the house and tidied the animal yards.

Mick has also cooked a fabulous lamb curry for them for either tonight, if they’re not too late, or for tomorrow when they have their home back to themselves.

Mick and I have both become a lot more confident with the animals, particularly the ponies. Check out this video of me getting the girls back to their stable today.

Two weeks is definitely the limit for the horse poo truck.

There is only about two wheelbarrow loads of space left.

My last afternoon walk with the dog was almost ruined by rain, but we made it home in time.

Can you see her stick just in the bottom of the photo? She plays this game for the full 30-40 minute walk in both the morning and afternoon.

She has been such a good dog to look after.

Oh, and one more very important job was done this afternoon ……

Returning all Mick’s beer bottles to get the pfand (deposit), and to sort the empty wine bottles by colour into our nearest bottle bank.

We don’t want the owners to get the wrong idea.
