Nuremberg: Unexpected Final Stop Over

If you read my post at the start of this trip where I was showing off my wonderful, thorough and well-documented holiday plans, I need to now confess.

I stuffed up.

Not by much. I had the home owners returning tonight and not last night.

They had kindly offered for us to stay with them again this evening but we declined and booked ourselves into the Hotel Victoria in Nuremberg.

Luckily we’d realised this before they’d actually left, otherwise it might have been hard to explain that crate of empties.

So, tonight we’re going out. And, I don’t have to drive home. We get a complimentary glass of wine at the hotel, and then there are bars and restaurants all around.

We chose an Indian Restaurant across the road from us.

It was a great meal for less than €40.

On a side matter ……

One interesting / infamous Nuremberg site we passed on our way back here was this Burger King.

No, it doesn’t look spectacular unless you notice the shadow of the eagle on the left hand side wall. This building was once a power plant for the Nazi Nuremberg Rally site.

And another side note …… Mick was surprised to find his German language program being aired on TV – dubbed from English into German.
