Ronda in Spain.
But why?

Arriving around 8pm last night, we had the impression of a romantic old city. Just what we had read about.
There were very few people on the streets; most were inside one of the many restaurants.

We enjoyed a drink across the cobblestone road from our hotel before dining at St Patrick’s – (below).

We were confident we would enjoy our three nights / two days in this UNESCO-listed old city.
But with the clearing showers this morning, came 1000s of tourists, including many dozens of MSC cruise passengers following their designated tour group leader.

Can you see the size of that ship?
Huge.
I have nothing against tourists, after all Mick and I are too, but these groups made it hard to move. I was really glad Mick had his bright red top on today.
But, just like we found during our week in Ronda in 2015, after lunch, the streets were back to almost empty.
We made our way up to Toompea to enjoy the view.

There is a significant length of the original town wall in tact.

Mick was struck by this sign.

Not knowing any Estonian is a bit tricky. Most people speak excellent English, and lots of information is written in English. But not these signs. This sign is in fact pointing to one of the towers in the wall built in 1475.

Unsure what Mick is smelling in this photo.
We have worked out how to catch the tram to the main bus station on Friday morning and where Brewdog Tallin is, and that we shouldn’t try to do too much sightseeing in the morning.
So that’s about enough for one day.

I love your comments and humor. Thanks for sharing 😻
