Off to Rome via Singapore

We can’t believe it!!

This is Brisbane International Airport this afternoon as we wait for our flight to Singapore.

We have travelled from this airport quite a few times and have never seen it so empty. The stroll through Security and Customs was a breeze. Plus, we checked in extremely easily as we were able to check in at the Business Class counter with Kath, even though Mick and I are flying Economy.

Mine is the largest bag in the middle, but both Mick and Kath have really only carry on luggage.

To celebrate, we have shouted ourselves a little treat while we wait to board. Notice the glasses!! We bought the bottle from the Coffee Club. That was a shock to me.

It was the cheapest Mick could find at less than $25 for the bottle. And, we all enjoyed it.

Our only concern is that the changeover time in Singapore is only 75 minutes. We’ve booked a wheelchair for Kath in Singapore – much to her disgust – but we are hoping to hop on her ‘band wagon’. At 90, she well and truely qualifies.

Will keep you posted about how it works out.
