We did return to Ristorante La Cambusa for dinner which turned out to be a smart choice.

Sadly for the owner and his Japanese wife, we were their only customers.

This was our view from our table.

This was taken even before we’d enjoyed our meal.
There were only three oysters left – so the others had one each.

Edward and Mick would have had another half dozen if they were on offer. Obviously he was a smart owner and wasn’t expecting a lot of people for dinner. He told us that many tourists prefer to eat ‘street food’.
Kath had swordfish while Edward chose the sashimi and Mick the tempura.

Edward had not had sashimi prawns before.

I had a fish and glass noodle dish which was exquisite. The bonito flakes were dancing when they arrived to the table.
On our walk back to our accommodation we tried some Sicilian gelati for dessert.
We had a great night out, followed by a much quieter night’s rest. Sunday evening is obviously not such a busy time in Siracusa, at least at this time of the year.
Lucky us!
what a wonderful meal
