Magnac-Laval to Caen

What a huge day of travelling!!

Screen Shot 2019-09-12 at 5.03.47 pmBut we don’t have much time between our last house sit and our next one in Normandy.

And, relying on public transport we had to go backwards to Limoges before we could go north via Paris: a train to Paris Austerlitz station firstly, and then Mick and I had to get ourselves and our luggage to Gare Saint-Lazare in order to catch the train to Caen. That wasn’t too hard really as the weather was perfect and we had a short stroll across the Seine to Gare de Lyon. We’d been there a few times now so we knew our way around.

As we farewelled the four Springer Spaniels and their owners in Magnac-Laval, the last thing Mick and I got a glimpse of were these (mostly) familiar flags.

IMG_7496The home owner is a collector of flags and he had put these two up in our honour – the Aussie flag and Queensland’s flag (which I didn’t recognise!!).
