I had no plans of posting anything else before our departure from here on Friday, but, as Mick and I were eating our lunch today Mick spotted this visitor on the kitchen window sill.

Each day I empty whatever cat food our cat Sammy has not eaten on the outside of the window, and usually the cats from nearby happily come along and finish it off.

But today, this very ill-looking, and pretty tame fox appeared on the window sill.

Mick was able to get up to the window and open it before the fox decided it had better run off.

While it could not be considered another ‘plague’ like the ladybugs from yesterday – it is an unusual event. And one I wanted to share.

An Update on the Ladybugs

This morning there were only a few (say around a dozen) live ladybugs where there had been hundreds yesterday. By this afternoon though, the numbers were growing, but still nowhere near the plague proportions we discovered yesterday. They certainly have not totally disappeared – more’s the pity!!
