But before we could indulge in a five course luncheon, we needed some exercise.
So, we drove to Wilyabrup Cliffs via Gracetown (where we saw surfers enjoying great waves and divers searching for abalone just inside the bay). It was about a kilometre walk from the car park to the cliffs where we could see northwards towards Injidup and south towards Gracetown.

There were a number of school groups there as well this monring, obviously planning to abseil down the cliffs. A bit too scary for us, but the view was spectacular.

I had booked us in for lunch today at Rustico at Hay Shed Hill Winery after reading about the wonderful experience at this particular vineyard. Luckily I had booked as the place was full and we saw many people turned away. It was handy having done some research before we got here because there are around 100 wineries in this area – each with something special to offer.
We arrived a little early for our booking so we could taste some wines to work out which one I’d have with lunch. Mick chose the option that matched the five courses with five different wines. As the driver, one glass for me was sufficient. We were very impressed by the quality of the wines at this vineyard – both the whites and the reds that we tried. They had very ‘French’ characteristics and we bought several bottles to try later on during our trip.

The five courses actually turned out to be ten courses, as each course came with two tapas-sized portions.
You can finish the post here if you are not too keen on food photographs!!

Needless to say, dinner will be a very slight ‘affair’. We both need a good rest after today.
Tomorrow we plan on visiting some of the rugged coastline to the north of where we are staying. Oh, and some more wineries of course!
Degustation looks amazing! Hope the wines were as good as the food 😊
wonderful !!!
