It was a grey morning, but not raining when we set out on a new path. Michael followed the ordinance map closely and we made our way through several farmers’ fields until we reached the village of Hastingleigh. This is a village we pass through when we drive to Wye. It has a pub, but unfortunately, dogs are not welcome so I doubt we will ever visit it.
The track became progressively muddy as we had to share a bridle path – a pathway for both horses and people and their dogs. The horses had chopped up the track pretty badly.
I left Lettie’s lead on a fence while taking photos, so I had to retrace them through the mud to get it while Michael took the dogs home for their shower.
