After we had taken the dogs on their walk this morning we headed off on our own along a pathway to a village called Lamone. It was supposed to only take 20 minutes which sounded perfect for us, but we could see that coming back was going to be the problem. The pathway was so steep.

It was worth it once we got there. This photo shows the road going under some homes. And yes, that is a road.

  We shouted ourselves a cup of coffee while there before heading back up the steep hill.

We stopped beside Lake Origlio, which is right behind where we are staying, before heading home to find the dogs happily resting in their comfy beds. So glad we did not take them on that walk.
