This is not only a two-way road, but it is also used by horses. It is about 100m from where we are staying and not atypical. Some of the roads are one way, but most are like this.

This afternoon we went for a walk back to the restaurant where we had dinner with our host family last Saturday evening. It is about a 20 minute walk along back roads, but faces the main road between Origlio and Lugano.

The local farmer was setting up his produce stall as we passed by so we went in and noticed he was selling honey, olive oil, fresh eggs and zucchinni. He also had his wine for sale for CHF20. We only had € on us and he would not take it, so perhaps we’ll stop another day.

We are thinking we’ll venture into Lugano tomorrow to explore some of its sites, but it will depend on a finer day weather wise than today.
