We had a beaut EasyJet flight from Milan to Lisbon. For some reason I had booked and paid for not only an exit row seat but ‘speedy boarding’ which got us through check-in, custom clearance and boarding like we were first class passengers. I told Mick this was as close as we’d get to travelling First Class anyway.
When we got on board there was a spare seat between us so we could spread out and enjoy the 3 hour trip. For just over $120 each it was a bargain.
This is a photo of Mick enjoying a Gran Riserva Peroni (Derek and Steve he thought of you!) at the airport before we left.
We decided to use the Metro to get us to our accommodation as it was only €1.90 each and …. we are pensioners you know.
As usual, our problem was getting from the Metro stop to our address. We walked up some very steep streets through a really traditional suburb of Lisbon and found our apartmento. Anna Maria came and met us and explained where the shops and local restaurants were. We are on thr first floor to the right of this photo.
It was very very hot when we arrived so we went for a walk and found a restaurant and enjoyed a beer. We are going to love Portugal. Two beers cost €2.50!

Cold beers might be the order of the day….looks like you are in for some very hot weather in Spain.
