I forgot to tell you that we had no luck with the traps overnight. We have changed the bait to apple and nuts thinking the animals may not be rats but rather loirs. Promise I’ll keep you posted. 

As we were heading off on our excursion this morning, our little road was blocked. Two men were cutting down the overgrown vine from our hostess’ gite. I thought it might be council workers trimming it back so the street light could be better seen. 

But they were hanging Christmas lights. 

Very thoughtful, but unsure why they didn’t put one on the light on the house where we are staying. 

There will be about 6 people who will get to see this installation. 🤔

From what we’ve observed – the south of France country folk go crazy over Christmas decorations. 🌲
