Animal Husbandry 101

Since we returned our little hire car, we have had a few days at home.

The sheep caused us some concern when they jumped over the barracade Mick had installed and the next thing we heard was them running past our back door and down the stairs, making straight for the chook’s pen so they could eat their grain.

The new barracade is much more sturdy and so far so good.

Meanwhile, I’ve been raking up some of the fallen leaves only to be foiled by the chooks who think it might hide some little treats for them.

Not happy with that they try tapping on the kitchen window for some oats.

We walked down the gorge this morning to buy our baguette and to enjoy a coffee at the bar. It is a 7km hike but Mick thinks the croissant is worth it.
