Nuremberg #2

This morning we explored more of this city on foot. It is so much better to get an early start – less crowded.

This is St Sebaldus Church. Mick was too early as the doors don’t open until 10.30am. St Sebaldus is Nuremberg’s patron saint. Hanging on the church was this banner ……

… announcing 500 years since the Reformation. It is a Lutheran Church.

We were on our way to the Imperial Castle. It’s history dates back to 1050, and what we saw on our visit was relatively new. It was levelled on 2 January 1945.

We also noticed a medieval festival being set up in the moat area. It starts this weekend.

We’re heading to Berlin shortly.
