Our flight with Thai Airways from Bangkok to Brisbane brought our house sitting / holiday venture to a close.

After having our departure delayed for almost an hour, most of that sitting in an un-air conditioned plane on the tarmac, we arrived 40 minutes late.

Joe and Lita were there to collect us and to take us home. We got to bed around 2.30am.

It’s great to be home, and we’re very thankful we have had a safe trip.

The terrible massacre in LA reminded me of how fortunate we are. I feel for the families left behind and for the dozens of injured people.

If you have been following our “adventures”, thank you. I enjoy writing about the places we’ve been, what we’ve seen and what we’ve eaten, and if you have too, that’s a bonus.

We have no firm plans for holidays in 2018 at this stage, but Mick really wants to go back to France.
